Description of Artwork: In early February, The Paterson Free Public Library enacted a new policy banning the playing of certain video games on library computers. The policy was enacted by the library board after staff members petitioned to have an official rule granting them discretion over computer use.

The Incident: The NCAC published a letter calling for the revoking of the ban as it is protected by the First Amendment. The letter was co-signed by The Center for Democracy and Technology, the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression, the Association of American Publishers and The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.

Results of Incident: The ban on violent games has yet to be overturned.
