The Incident: The two-week exhibit and supporting panel discussion was planned to heighten awareness for alternative lifestyles at Peabody Elementary School. Before the exhibit's installation, Superintendent Mary Lou McGrath, received an anonymous letter requesting the exhibit's cancellation.
Results of Incident: The district's school committee held a public meeting to gather input from teachers, parents and other community members about issues surrounding the exhibit. The committee reaffirmed its decision to host the exhibit.
