Description of Artwork: The 1st volume of the 5 laserdisc sets containing over 300 classic cartoons. The cartoon removed from the set was Friz Freleng's Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips. In it, Bugs Bunny heckles a Japanese soldier. This cartoon is one of many controversial Warner Bros. cartoons.

The Incident: Apparently, a Japanese group bought the set and was upset by Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips. It demanded that MGM/UA remove the cartoon from the set.

Results of Incident: MGM/UA responded to this pressure by withdrawing all copies of The Golden Age Of Looney Tunes Laserdisc set containing Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips from store shelves across the U.S. The set was later reissued with a cartoon called Rackateer Rabbit replacing Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips.
