The Incident: Soon after its initial release, Singaporean officials banned the sale of the album due to explicit sexual content. One song in particular, Would You Mind, contained lyrics that were "not acceptable to our society" claimed these officials. The song lyrics include "I just wanna touch you, tease you, lick you, please you, love you, make love to you." Singapore officials also banned Jackson's previous album, The Velvet Rope, because three of its songs contained lyrics about homosexuality.
Results of Incident: The record company executives appealed the ban, however The Publications Appeal Committee denied the appeal.
