Description of Artwork: Loux's graphic novel tells the tale of three lazy high-schoolers, fond of hanging out and playing video games. When one teen decides to win his crush away from her jock boyfriend, the three set off on a grand suburban adventure.
The Incident: Parents of Enfield students claimed "Sidescrollers" contained profanity and was inappropriate for the school's 9th grade summer reading list.
Results of Incident: NCAC sent a letter urging that the book remain on school reading lists; however, "Sidescrollers" was removed from the curriculum.
