The Incident: Author Andrew Bushard mailed in a check to purchase a City of Jonestown "Swift Fest" event sponsorship announcement for his book A Case for Homeschooling: 95 Theses Against the School System

Results of Incident: The City of Jonestown's "Swift Fest" Committee mailed Andrew Bushard a letter dated July 20, 2017, which stated, "The Swiftfest committee [sic] has decided this sponsorship/advertisement doesn't meet the criteria for our small, nature themed festival. We have agreed not to accept your Swiftfest sponsorship."

The Swift Fest Committee returned the original letter and the check. On the letter, someone wrote "SP Vote NO" and "graphic images on social media etc."
