Description of Artwork: Students duplicated Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam" for a mural project.

The Incident: School and District officials wanted the nudity covered up. First, a fig leaf was used, but students protested to adminstrators.

Results of Incident: The fig leaf was replaced with a sash.

The school district is putting together a committee that will formulate guidelines for reviewing students' artworks.
