The Incident: Chicago Public School officials, specifically CEO of schools, Barbara Byrd-Bennett declared the graphic novel unfit for middle and high school curricula. They have banned the book from reading lists and ask that teachers wishing to assign the text take a supplementary course on teaching "sensitive materials".

Results of Incident: The book was removed.
