Description of Artwork: Despues de ser expulsado por Pinochet de su cargo de diplomatico toda su obra due perseguida pero especialmente: "Persona non grata" (1973), "Los convidados de piedra" (1978), y "El peso de la noche" (1964). (After being ousted by Pinochet from his position of diplomat, his writings were banned, especially: Persona non grata (1973), The guests of Stone (1978), and The weight of the Night (1964).)

The Incident: En su obra son objeto de un analisis constante los diferentes grupos sociales y especialmente la burguesia. En sus novelas tambien aparecen toda una serie de elementos evocadores que justifican unos determinados planteamientos politicos, precisamente estos planteamientos fueron los que le costaron la persecucion de su obra. (Edwards' work constantly analyzes different social groups, especially the bourgeoisie. In his novels are also a series of evocative elements that justify specific policy approaches, these approaches were precisely what caused the banning of his work.)
