Description of Artwork: The Patriot Act existed within an exhibit called "Axis of Evil: The Secret History of Sin." The exhibit featured stamps designed by 47 artists who created works which addressed the Roman Catholic sex abuse scandal, racism and the war in Iraq.

The Incident: One of the works was a mock stamp which depicted President Bush with a revolver pointed at his head. The FBI arrived before the public opening of the exhibition to investigate the motives and intentions of the piece, Patriot Act.

Results of Incident: The FBI agents asked each artist of their intention and meaning of their work. The Chancellor ultimately ordered Patriot Act to be removed from the show.
